The goals for Taylor Hall were two fold;  update the existing building that was over 100 years old when the renovation began, and to add a welcome center to act as a front door for the college. The building houses the administration for the college and teacher offices, as well as classrooms. The main floor houses the local college radio station and a video production classroom.

The welcome center was an infill-addition between the original building and a theater expansion that was done in the early 2000’s. It features a student lounge and welcome desk that greets new students and arranges for tours of the campus.

The building is LEED Silver certified.
